恩典之苑 Graceland

The theme of this issue is “My Home My Church – My Family (Members).” Those who share include some new members to this spiritual family of CBCSD, or brothers and sisters who have been in this family for a long time; some are young, and some are older. They share their feelings about the family, fond memories, special experiences, and some unforgettable experiences they had here at the church family. Hope we get to know more about our family members.

Thank God for giving us CBCSD as a big spiritual family in which we are leading a rich and colorful life – because of God’s grace, we have been given different serving positions to serve each other and build the church; because of God’s love, we care for each other and support each other! Through reading the Bible and praying, we experience God’s presence, His faithfulness, love and power together, and we grow spiritually! The theme of this issue is “My Church My Home – I Love the Church Life.” Brothers and sisters share how they love church life from different aspects. Hope you are encouraged and love this family too!

Happy New Year! This year’s theme is “My Church, My Home.” Thanks to Pastor Lam for giving the New Year’s message to remind us of the importance of church, our family. We must have “family training” to grow fruitfully in our spiritual family, and thanks to God’s amazing grace, the CBC Discipleship Trainings I-IV are finally completed after over three years of revision! Through different perspectives shared by several pastors, brothers, and sisters, we not only learn how the core members and teachers painstakingly revised all the teaching material, but also witness how God’s words and Discipleship Training renewed one life after another to be His disciple through a better understanding of God’s will, a more solid spiritual foundation, and being equipped to build each other up at church to walk and grow together. I hope these testimonies inspire us to change in the new year, receive discipleship training, and continue to grow spiritually!

In this issue, we continue exploring the theme “Actions to Renew.” In addition to introducing the Afghan Refugee Ministry, we interviewed brothers and sisters at the “Missionary Conference Expo” booth. Some youth also shared their experience serving in VBS this summer. Thank God for the further expanding of our church ministries and for the breakthroughs in our brothers’ and sisters’ spiritual life. I hope everyone will be inspired and together praise the Lord!

In this issue, we continue discussing “Actions to Renew” within the church, introducing the new CBC ministries as well as sharing more about breakthroughs in ministry, testimonies for how God helps the church, and the brothers and sisters specifically leading a “renewed and transformed” life. Additionally, North Campus has a new place and time, and new ministries like NextGen and “Community Engagement” have become part of Main Campus. We hope that you will be inspired to be continually renewed by the Lord and glorify His name!

The theme for this issue is “Actions to Renew” to further explore the church’s main theme in this year, “Renew & Transform.” I hope that through some new, constantly renewed, ongoing or planned ministries, brothers and sisters can understand how to practice a “transformed” life, that is, to receive a vision from God through participating in different ministries, experiencing God’s presence, power, and guidance, and being molded and renewed by the Lord in the process, so that the life would be transformed!

The new COVID variant Omicron has come fiercely. In the face of the continuous spread of the pandemic, we may be in another wave of panic, anxiety, and even helplessness, as if we are still tied up. I hope that through Pastor Lam’s New Year’s message and the sharing of other brothers, we can fix our eyes on our God. May we be willing to be humble and obedient to let Him release all the bondages that make our lives stuck and set us free. Let’s trust God to live a transformed life!

Love is one of God’s unifying themes; beyond its cruciality for our salvation, we are built to love God and love others, and further called to be His representatives in our interactions with others. Therefore, we must become good neighbors. A good neighbor can be many things to many people: a steward of their talents in servitude of others, a caring listener, any observant Christian who fills a gap to help others — and always a missionary. Especially in this season, our world needs love and compassion. In this issue, brothers and sisters share the impact of being and meeting good neighbors, all for God’s glory.
